Andy Hillenburg, a championship driver, former team owner and current track owner, is making the racing dream available to anyone who wants to try the ultimate experience. Born in Indianapolis, this man has racing is in his blood and understands what race fans want! Hillenburg started racing at age 11, competing in the Indianapolis Soapbox Derby, and carried on his love of racing throughout the years by racing quarter midgets, midgets, sprint cars, silver crown cars, modifies, Indy cars, F-2000’s, and five divisions of NASCAR which included Winston (Nextel) Cup, Busch (Nationwide), Trucks, and both the East and West K&N series. Through his racing career, Andy won the Sprint car champion title at Bloomington Speedway as well as Rookie of the year at the Hoosier Hundred in 1985. He also won the ARCA Super Car Series Championship in 1995. In 1995 and 1997 he won the Daytona ARCA 200, the premiere event series as well. Andy has also served as a test driver in the IROC series for 10 years working with some of the world’s greatest race car drivers and has competed in the Indianapolis 500 as well as the Daytona 500.


Not only has Andy had the chance to be a driver, but he has also been a stunt driver as well as an actor in several feature films and many commercials; some of which include: “Talladega Nights- The Ballad of Ricky Bobby”, 3- The Dale Earnhardt Story”, and “Herbie Fully Loaded.”


Andy has been the chief driving instructor for the Fast Track High Performance Driving School for over 20 years, where thousands of drivers have received an education in speed. On October 2, 2007, Hillenburg purchased North Carolina Speedway in Rockingham, NC which is home to the driving school and built the speedway known as Little Rock after the purchase. Andy has made this experience available for the fans of all stock car series in hopes they can appreciate and be part of the history behind NASCAR as well as find a new love for asphalt, hearing engines roar, the smell of racing fuel and the thrill of speed.


In 2011 Andy again wowed the racing world by announcing that he would be bringing NASCAR Camping World Truck and K&N Pro Racing Series events to the track in 2012  and just recently announced that in April of 2013 the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will be returning for another visit to The Rock!– true racing success stories for a man so passionate about racing.
